CM Burst

So after the tragic lost of my apple toy, I expected to get flare, but Sun Cellular Shop is always out-of-stock, so I got this instead, last month:)

Cherry Mobile Burst:

image

Box includes:

  • 1 CM Burst unit (photo above is photoshopped)
  • Earphones
  • Burst manual
  • Charger (USB chord + Adaptor)

CHERRY MOBILE BURST Specs:

  • 4 inch capacitive IPS display
  • 1GHz dual core Snapdragon CPU
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 4Gb ROM, expandable up to 32Gb via MicroSD
  • 5mp primary camera with flash, front-facing camera
  • Bluetooth
  • WiFi b/g/n
  • GPS
  • 3G data

From my point of view (considering I was an Apple—iTouch 4— user once) the CM Burst it pretty good keeping in mind that its more than half the price of Apple and Samsung gadgets. My other Flare and Burst-user friends say that their unit aren’t lag, but I also asked them and they don’t use a lot of social media apps like I do. I admit I abuse the Burst thus the lags, shut down apps, restarts, etc.

Gaming-wise, it can play 2 fuse which is a bit of a fast game, but it not for intense/fast gaming entirely.

Picture quality is okay, pretty good when there’s sunlight, but not so good indoors, and the flash is not that strong, either. Screen capture is good though:D Streaming is also pretty good with it’s really big screen.

Battery-wise not so good, especially since I’m on wifi a lot, but bearable if you have a battery bank.

The most annoying thing for me is that when I shut down/restart all the apps in the home screen that are saved in my memory card vanishes! So I need to put it back to its place/folders. -.-

Over-all it’s  a livable phone:D Not an Apple or Samsung, but definitely worth it’s p3,999.00 price (or in my case—free!)

My first (and probably last) Phone review, not very techie here!:)

Do you have a CM Burst too? Let me know how it is in your point of view.

Scarf Print

I. AM. IN. LOVE with this TOP! :>

Officially over used! :>

The cut-outs on this top are just so subtle that you won’t even notice and be conscious that they’re there! Plus the fit and the breezy cloth!  No need to accessorize that much! Score! (okay, I will stop screaming now ^^)

Scarf Print Top One Pavilion Dept. Store, Pink Skirt Robinsons Dept. Store, Flats Solemate, Charm Bracelet Gifted

It was an Exposure Photographics School of Photography travel class on a (rainy but still beautiful) Sunday morning—Mother’s day! My friend Alyssa (left) modeled for them and since the call time was 4am and I was the one who invited her, I went along with them, also since she didn’t know the owners of Exposure yet.

I was not a model but I ended posing one for the students, -.- See how we acted as if we knew each other all our lives? haha

With the ever beautiful Alyssa Ursal :)

Location: Portofino Beach Resort

Special thanks to Joanah Uy for all these photos!

Fail DIY: Tulle skirt

The ‘fail’ isn’t very encouraging, is it? haha.. anyways, all is good.

For those involved in photo shoots, don’t just hate when RTW tulle skirts aren’t puffy enough? Well yeah, me too! So I had this idea of making an undergarment tulle made of the hard kind (of tulle). I wanted a skater type of skirt because I’m no seamstress and I’m too lazy for the shearing thing.

So here’s what you need:

Tulle, Scissors, Measuring Tape, Ribbons/Elastic Band, Pen/Chalk, Thread and Needle.

Step 1: Fold the tulle diagonally a lot of time until you have something like this.

Step 2: Measure and Cut one opening near the tip of the cone and one near the bottom. Depending on the length of the skirt.

Now here’s where I got it so wrong! My math was off, haha. What you need to do is get the radius (from the circumference of your waist) for the top cut and add the length for the skirt length.

Formula:

Radius=(Circumference÷Pi) ÷ 2

Ex. You want a 30 in waist. (30in÷3.1416) ÷ 2 = 4.77 or 4.8in

What I did (WRONG! Didn’t consult the net for formula, haha): Circumference x Pi x 2

(30in ÷ 3.1416) x 2 = 19 in, so yea, waaaay off! haha

=too big:(

4.8in + 11in length (any desired length) = 15.8in

Note: Don’t cut straight! Cut curved, measure 15.8in from the tip a lot of times. Like so:

Step 3: You’ll have something like this. A donut!

Fold it in half, and you’ll obviously get this:

Pull the ends of the inner circle and you get a skater skirt! (Or in my case a really big skater skirt -.-):

Just sew a band(garter/ribbon) and your good!

How I solved my mishap:

1. Cut in in two so I now have 2 half circles with a half circle hole, like so:

2. I made one long skirt and one short skirt. just a wrap around skirt because there’s no room for shearing and it can’t be a skater skirt anymore. So here’s how I made the short one, first is cut it shorter (of course):

3. And I just sewed on the ribbon (folded it in half so both sides has ribbon) so it wont be itchy and it can be tied to the waist:

A running stitch would do, :D haha

here it is worn:

Here is a dress with and without the Tulle:

So glad it actually made some difference despite its EPIC FAILness HAHAHA:)

Will try again sometime:)

You can definitely do this with any other cloth! for undergarment or not. Thick jersey is the cloth used in most skater skirts now, i think, again I’m not that knowledgeable about these things, haha.

What do you think? My first DIY here! :D If you make your own, please let me know! :)

Just Add Color

Here’s my outfit without the Kimono on, and below is when I wore it. Both looks good but COLOR just gives the youthful, summer-y feel to the otherwise formal nude outfit. Maybe also because I placed my hair in a bun on the shot above:D

This outfit shoot was taken in Tambuli Beach Resort, we went there last labor day for our church outing. Sadly, Tambuli was not as I remembered as a kid. My family used to go there a lot on weekends and it was packed! Now, a lot of the structures are torn down and some areas are not maintained anymore:( But it was good to be back, nonetheless.

Teal and Coral

This is the outfit I mentioned in my last post Pastels, it’s too bad that the colors aren’t that clear, because I just love this outfit! Especially the shoes! Thank you Charmaine Chua for the dress and heels! Love lots!

Anyways, I wore this outfit to my cousins wedding reception in Oakridge (congratulations!). Oakridge has undergone some changes and now their reception hall is so far from the main entrance:( Good thing there were golf carts or people who parked far or doesn’t have a car would be pissed at walking a distance in their party dresses and heels! tsk.

I  know that wearing socks with heels in a formal event is quite weird (that’s what my sister said anyway) but I just couldn’t help it—it was sooo adorable. I decided to town it down with socks because I was wearing sky high heels and I felt my outfit would be too plain otherwise:D

Don’t be afraid to contrast. Contrasting colors are way better than colors in the same family but in different shades. I had a dilemma once that I had on a dark blue top, black short and black bag, I didn’t have the same color of blue for shoes, so what I did was I wore pink ones! It’s more creative that way, too, than just wearing monotonous colors:)

South Shores Top, Robinsons Dept. Store Skirt, Gifted Ring, Old Belt and DBC Flats

This actually a mock-up of the color palette of an outfit I’m gonna be wearing for my cousin’s wedding, the color theme is Coral and Teal. It’s always been a superb combination, it shouts summer and I can’t wait for his wedding! (because of the wedding stuff, of course—not my outfit, ehem*)

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Here’s another photo diary from few weeks ago, we—my friends from college—had a Girls Day out. You’ll notice I don’t really wear two-piece, I’m not insecure with my body or anything but I don’t want to wear them when guys are around *haha*. So the best part of this outing? We were all girls out on an island hopping adventure!! I was a tad TAN after this, so enjoy!

OOTD (swimming ready, I was originally wearing denim shorts:)
